LIVINGSTON, La (NBC33) - December 20, 2010 - The Livingston parish council voted Monday night on a decision that could raise the parish thousands of dollars.
By a seven to two vote, a two cent sales tax was placed on the taxing district of Juban Crossing to get the future mall site project off the ground.
This could mean more money for Livingston residents that have to spend money on gas to drive to Baton Rouge to the mall of louisiana for the same services that Juban Crossing will offer.
Parish president Mike Grimmer says this will be something that will bring residents a lot of pride.
