BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC33) -- Christmas is less than two weeks away, but for some families in South Baton Rouge, Santa made an early delivery at Mckinley Middle Magnet School. On Sunday, hundreds of families gathered at the school's gym to meet Santa at the second annual "Santa Road Show." The event was sponsored by State Representative Patricia Haynes Smith and Councilwoman Tara Wicker along with BREC. Each year hundreds of toys and bikes are given away to families in need. Organizers say its a way to put a smile on kids faces and relievesome of the holiday stress many parents experience around Christmas time.
