BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC33) -- The Baton Rouge Chapter of Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana held its fourth annual "Wreaths Across America" ceremony in Baton Rouge Saturday morning. The ceremony was held at the Baton Rouge National Cemetery on 19th Street. Across the nation, over 400 cemeteries simultaneously participated in the event, placing wreaths on hundreds of thousands of headstones of fallen heroes. Started 19 years ago at Arlington National Cemetery, the ceremony was designed to honor the heroes and also recognize the sacrifices of those who are currently serving in the Armed Forces.
