BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33)--A flap over a pizza is going viral on the Internet.
It happened at the Papa John's on the LSU campus earlier this week. In the cell phone video, a student who was apparently mad at the wait time is seen swearing and yelling at employees behind the counter. After getting frustrated, she eventually walks out of the restaurant, but not before throwing a bag of chips at another customer in line.
The video was posted December 8th. Since then, it's gotten hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube. It's also been featured on Comedy Central and CNN.
"Pretty unwarranted if you ask me, maybe she was stressed out about finals or something," says LSU student Tom Holsteen.
"It was a funny video," says LSU senior Bill Freeman.
But LSU Police aren't laughing. Sgt. Blake Tabor says no one has come forward to formally complain about the incident, but if they do, the girl could be arrested.
"The abusive language, the throwing of the bag of chips, if that were to of struck someone certainly that would fall under either simple battery potentially even aggravated battery," says Tabor.
While no criminal charges have been filed, the saucy young woman could face academic trouble. The dean of students has identified her. We're told there are plans for disciplinary action.
