BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) – A gun was found on the Istrouma High campus today, and a student in 10th grade is believed to be responsible.
The school was on lockdown around 1:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 8. Reports that D’mori Alexander had been seen carrying a gun. Officials say they searched the classroom where Alexander had been last and found a Colt .38 revolver in a drawer. Although it was not loaded, they did find six bullets in Alexander’s pocket.
Alexander, 17, was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He was charged with Illegal Possession of a Weapon on School Property.
