BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - Regardless if coach Kenny Guillott and his team viewed their matchup against Notre Dame as a chance to get revenge from last years state finals or not, they got it. Parkview blanked Notre Dame 17 - 0 Friday night to advance to the LHSAA 3A State Championship game. The game was dominated by the Eagles defensive and the dagger came when Brody Burkhalter intercepted a Pio pass and took it back for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter. That score put Parkview up 10-0. The Eagles would tack on a touchdown late in the 4th quarter.
