Cupcakes - a sign BR economy is bouncing back

BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) -- Unemployment in the U.S. just reached a seven month high, as the grip of the national recession refuses to loosen. But here in Baton Rouge, the economy is beginning to bounce back. 

Sisters-in-law Lindsay and Lauren Whittle opened "Cupcake Couture" on the Boulevard at the Mall of Louisiana the day after Thanksgiving. And so far, their sweet treats are a hot item. Experts say that's a sign the economy in Baton Rouge is on track for a record recovery.
