Mike the Tiger has become a staple at the LSU football games over the years, but this season, Mike might be sitting on the bench.
Veterinary school officials say tiger fans shouldn't be alarmed if their favorite mascot doesn't make it to all the home games. Mike is maturing and becoming more cautious. Veterinarians say this is normal tiger behavior.
A team of veterinary students worked with Mike all summer to help him get used to the tiger trailer, but officials won't know until Saturday's game if the 400 pound mascot will join fans at the stadium.
