BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA) – A Baton Rouge Police Officer arrived just in time to save a woman from a teen who was attempting to rape her.
Officer Chutz was called out to the scene yesterday, Nov. 29, when a citizen reported that a man was beating a woman in the 1300 block of Florida Blvd. When Chutz arrived, he witnessed a partially dressed male who had a woman pinned to the ground. The man was striking the woman forcibly and pulling her pants down.
The suspect is a sixteen-year-old juvenile who fled the scene when Officer Chutz pursued him. He was apprehended and taken to a local hospital for injuries incurred during his arrest.
The victim of the attack told Officer Chutz that she had witnessed the teen beating another woman on North 14th street. When she tried to intervene, the juvenile turned his attention to her and attempted to rape her.
The victim suffered minor injuries during the attack, and fortunately, Officer Chutz arrived in enough time to prevent the forced rape.
As for the teen, he has been placed into the Juvenile Detention Center and was charged with Attempted Forcible Rape and Resisting an Officer.
