BAKER, La (WVLA) -- The Baker school district has a new interim superintendent today.
At the school board meeting held in the evening of Monday, Nov. 29, the board voted to put Dr. Ron Jackson at the helm until a permanent replacement is found.
Jackson replaces Iris Walker who is also the district’s Director of Elementary Education.
The Baker district is currently in a legal battle with its former superintendent Dr. Estes Taplin, who rejected the board’s new contract offer.
