Baton Rouge Police said that an unknown suspect stole a school bus from Scotlandville High around 3 p.m. Friday.
The driver of the bus didn't get far, because they crashed it into a ditch on Southern Avenue.
When the bus was found it was empty, investigators think that the suspect must have run off whenever they crashed it.
Detectives are still on the lookout for the driver.
