BATON ROUGE, La (Southern University) – Dr. Kofi Lomotey, chancellor of Southern University and A&M College, officially tendered his resignation today at Southern’s Board of Supervisors’ meeting in New Orleans.
Lomotey, who has been chancellor since 2008, did not comment on his decision. His contract with the SU board was scheduled to expire at the end of December. The board voted today to accept his resignation and approved Lomotey continuing as chancellor through June 30, 2011.
