BATON ROUGE (WVLA) - Jordan Jefferson was named SEC offensive player of the week Monday just two days after playing perhaps his best game as a college quarterback. The Destrehan native completed 13 of 17 passes for just over 250 yards and one touchdown. Jefferson also rushed for 45 yards and a score as well.
This is the first player of the week honors for an LSU quarterback since Matt Flynn won the award in 2007 for his play against Auburn. The Tigers offense exploded Saturday, racking up 470 total yards (212 rushing, 258 passing).
The Tigers hope to continue their winning ways this Saturday as they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
