BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA) October 31, 2010
This Halloween, youngsters at Elvin street park got police escorts to go trick or treating.
Kids that live in the Old Hermitage neighborhood rarely get a chance to trick or treat because of its dangerous history.
But tonight, those kids get to be escorted by East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies.
Ninjas, gouls, and superheroes came out to the park to enjoy a space walk, a dunk tank, and all sorts of refreshments before they go out tonight.
It's all in good fun, but Captain Tolola Blakes says it's a chance for sheriff's deputies to put smiles on the faces of lots of kids.
