Officials: Violent crime in EBR parish is not on the rise

BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA)--We've seen a lot of violent crime lately. Nearly 80 murders have occurred in East Baton Rouge Parish already this year.

NBC 33's Tyler Gamble has been tracking the crime, and talking with people who've been directly impacted.
Through his investigation, he found out crime numbers through tonight are about on par with the last three years.
