Gonzales, LA (NBC33) — Gonzales police have booked Royal Johnson, 24, into the Ascension Parish Jail, who surrendered to police around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24.
An arrest warrant was issued for Johnson’s arrest on July 18, 2014 after he fired four shots at a home on Hamilton Street, while six people were inside.
Det Sgt. Steven Nethken said the victims in the house were between the ages of one and 27.
Three of the four bullets penetrated the walls of the home.
Investigators say Johnson began shooting when a man he was arguing with, ran inside of the home.
Police are charging Johnson with six counts of Aggravated Assault With a Firearm, one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and one count of Illegal Discharge of a Firearm Inside City Limits.
