BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA) -- Good news for local charter schools. Advanced Baton Rouge Charter School received a grant for more than $13 million. There has been a need for funding at the five charter schools in the area.
Officials say it's part of an initiative to better their teachers at the charter schools. "We have an opportunity to align resources with this big announcement, so that we will be able to focus on teacher education and teachers from the standpoint of improving instruction in the classroom," says Advanced BR CEO, Henry Shepard.
