State Police are investigating an accident, involving three pick-up trucks. It caused a traffic nightmare for drivers on Airline Highway. As Emily Turner reports, reckless driving is to blame.
Motorists on Airline Highway waited an hour and a half as emergency crews cleared an accident involving three vehicles. Authorities tell us a white pickup truck was entering the center lane to make a turn. They said a red truck was traveling behind it and the driver could not stop in time and careened into the other lane. After striking the truck in front of him, the river lost control, sending his vehicle spinning right into the path of a black truck. The impact knocked the black truck on its side and flipped the red truck completely upside down. Then, both trucks crashed into a patch of trees.
The driver was treated and released from the hospital. Troopers say he admitted he was completely at fault.
