BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA) Tonight at Polk Elementary, a meeting was held with the school board to discuss possible school closures.
Concerned parents and teachers came together tonight to discuss the possible closure of Polk Elementary.
Polk is only operating with 197 students, that means the school's only operating a little over 51 percent capacity.
With such a low percentage, the state is actually losing money to keep the school open, but the members of the school board said they have no intention of closing the school without finding ways to keep it open.
