The Baton Rouge Fire Department is investigating a fire that happened at a boarding home on Tuesday night around 9:45 p.m. on Terrace Street.
Investigators believe a former resident of the home intentionally set the fire after a fight. The resident allegedly threw a type of flammable substance into a front room.
Firefighters were originally called to the scene by a police officer who was responding to the altercation.
The fire damaged several rooms of the house, including the attic.
