BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Local kids took pictures with their favorite books Saturday.
Kids got to show off their books of choice, and some couldn't pick just one. It's part of National Children's Book Week. Librarians at the Goodwood Main Library said it's a way for the kids to have mementos of their favorite books throughout the years.
"So each year they can choose whatever their favorite book is, take that picture and just keep those forever and ever and see what those books are when they get older and revisit those memories," said Tara Dearing, Supervisor of the Children's Section at the Goodwood Main Library.
Four East Baton Rouge Parish Libraries participated in the annual event.
