BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — One of the fastest female hurdlers in the state officially has a place to call home on the college level.
Today, St. Michael basketball and track standout Tylor row signed her national letter of intent to run at Xavier University in New Orleans.
The lady warrior was the state runner up in the 4-A girls 100-meter hurdles this year.
She described her emotions as both bittersweet and a little scary to leave her roots at St. Michael.
The senior is ready for graduation this week and looks forward to New Orleans where she will major in pre-med.
"Education is everything. Educatoin is first and then athletics. I always wanted to go to Xavier for their academic accolades. So I am definitely looking into academics before running track,” said Tylor Row.
Row says she has family in New Orleans and Thibodaux, just in case she gets a little home sick in college.
