BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — Costco Wholesale will open its doors to customer at 7:30 Friday morning.
Customers have been signing up for membership over the past several weeks, but we got a sneek peak inside to give you a look at what customers can expect.
What used to be the site of the Old Coca-Cola Bottling Plant is now the new home of a 150,000 square foot Costco Wholesale store.
"We got everything organized and we're ready to go to sell to the community of Baton Rouge, so we're excited."
Every aisle is fully stocked with items like cereal, beauty products, and yes, wireless electronics.
It may look like a typical wholesale store, so what sets Costco apart from its competitors?
"I believe that it's our member service as well as the quality of our products and our fresh food departments."
Costco even has its own pharmacy, meat, and bakery departments, as well as a tire department to keep you rolling smoothly across Baton Rouge.
"They're going to get excellent member service. They're going to get a great return policy…100 percent satisfaction guaranteed and they're going to get exceptional service while they're here."
Costco also plans on giving back to Baton Rouge.
"We have a backpack program that we do for the schools in the area of Baton Rouge."
The Flip Give program offers members who sign up the chance to donate funds to nearly 200 schools in Baton Rouge.
The roads around Costco even got a facelift as part of a deal with EBR Parish, which includes a seven million dollar tax incentive.
Costco accepts American Express , ATM-debit cards, and EBT, but not Visa.
Doors open at 7:30 on Friday, April 25.
