BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office arrested a man early Friday morning for his alleged involvement in a shooting Thursday night in which one man died, and two were injured in the Glen Oaks area.
Cedric Glasper, 24, is charged with Second Degree Murder, two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder, and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
Detectives responded to reports of a shooting at 6:13 p.m. in the 7000 block Dan Drive on March 27.
Three men were taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
Corinthian Robertson, 23, later died as a result of his injuries. The other two men are expected to recover.
According to reports, Glasper arrived at the Dan Drive address and had an argument with one of the men at the home.
Glasper left and later returned with two unknown men. Glasper got out of the vehicle and had a physical fight with two of the men at the residence.
At that time, one of the men at the residence grabbed a stick. The two unknown men in Glasper’s vehicle then got out and allegedly began firing on the victims.
Glasper and one of the other men fled in a gold/pewter-colored Avalanche. The third suspect ran on foot.
The injured suspects at the hospital identified Glasper in a photographic lineup.
Glasper was arrested for the above listed charges and booked into parish prison.
This incident is still under investigation.
The gold colored Avalanche will have heavy front end damage from an accident as the suspects fled the scene.
