BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA)--City officials, pastors and residents are set to meet downtown tonight to talk about the growing crime problem.
"Take back the 10"refers to District 10. It's the area where recent shootings happened in Beauregard Town and on the levee.
EBR Metro Councilwoman Tara Wicker represents the district. She says tonight's meeting is about real results.
"This is not a just talk and complain meeting," Wicker says. It is a roll up your sleeves and let's get to work meeting. I am asking everyone possible from District 10 to participate in this CAM. We will have real talk about real issues with real results”.
The meeting starts at 6pm at the Dufrocq School on Government Street.
