BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — Students at southern university aren't happy with their administration's decision to get rid of chancellor James Llorens.
Many students said they're disappointed about the second vote to oust their leader.
Jags say Llorens was always available to help them out, and his departure is a big blow in their eyes.
"I am very disappointed because he actually did a lot of stuff to try and help us out and help us get out our opinions and everything,” said SU student Michelle Davis.
Britney Douzier, another SU student who supports Llorens, said, "He made a lot of moves with the school. So he wasn't just one of the people behind the secnes, he was one of the faces you saw walking around campus greeting everyone and making sure you had what you needed."
After the first vote, students pushed for the board to reconsider.
This was the second time the board voted on Llorens's contract, but with the same decision.
