LAFAYETTE, La (WVLA) With only a month left to go before the final votes are cast for the Lieutenant Governor’s race, a new endorsement from Sammy Kershaw came through for frontrunner Jay Dardenne (R).
“Together we’re going to begin seeking private investors for Louisiana to put money into our economy,” Kershaw said in a press conference this morning.
The press conference was held at the Louisiana Safety Systems in Lafayette, which is a repair company for oil platforms in the Gulf. The location was used as a springboard for the topic of the moratorium, which is Dardenne’s primary platform.
Dardenne’s opponent, Carolyn Fayard (D), an attorney based out of New Orleans, is closely trailing based on last Saturday's election results.
Tonight NBC33 News at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.will have a full recap of the Lieutenant Governor’s race.
