BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — NBA legend, ‘Magic Johnson’ made a special appearance in Baton Rouge Saturday.
The former Los Angeles Lakers player signed autographs at "Primetime Sports Collectibles." The store's owner opened at 8 and had a line out the door until Johnson arrived around noon.
His autographs cost about one hundred bucks each but everyone told us the price didn't matter, it was an awesome opportunity.
"It is very cool. I have never seen or met him before but im excited to see him. I mean growing up watching basketball especially the Lakers was cool,” said fan, Tony Williams.
“I know he's making use of it because hes going to be in New Orleans but I am glad he's going to make his way out here to visit fans, the people that do follow him all the way down here," noted Baton Rouge local, Daniel Neugyen.
Magic Johnson is in town for the NBA All Star Game. He was in Baton Rouge for a little over an hour before he headed back to New Orleans
