BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — The Southern University Division of Continuing Education and the Department of Educational Theory, Policy and Practice, along with the National Association of African-American Studies and Affiliates, will present a workshop, “A Successful Partnership: Parent and Teacher Collaboration,” at the Crowne Plaza Conference Center on Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The keynote speaker is Janice Chu-Zhu, senior director of National Capacity Building of the National Center for Community Schools in New York City. The conference will also include a panel of community stakeholders who will discuss successful parental and teacher collaborative initiatives.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Participants can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for participating.
There is a pre-registration fee of $65.
