NEW ROADS, La (WVLA) A pretrial has been scheduled today for Larry John Snyder, who is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Davina Chapman, on July 20, 2009. His trial was originally scheduled for October 12 through the 16, however, lawyers are meeting to determine if they will proceed with these dates or file another continuance for a November trial date.
The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Snyder in 2009 for the murder of Davina Chapman of Krotz Springs. Chapman’s body was found near the Four-Mile Bridge. The two were reportedly living together in the Baton Rouge area prior to the incident.
A Pointe Coupee Parish grand jury indicted Snyder on a second-degree murder charge in September 2009.
