Staff — Mayor Kip Holden will give his annual "State of the Parish" address at the Baton Rouge Rotary Club Wednesday.
In the past Holden has focused on Baton Rouge crime, but in his address, he's expected to sound off on the St. George incorporation effort.
Holden's been pretty quiet on the matter so far, but insiders say he'll speak out against St. George Wednesday.
As for the Metrocouncil members opposed to that new city, they have a plan to turn away St. George job seekers if there is a break-away.
A group of councilmembers have proposed EBR Parish not hire anyone from St. George or any other breakaway cities including Baker, Central, and Zachary.
If this measure passes if you want to work for EBR Parish you have to live in Baton Rouge.
At last check this is up for discussion Wednesday night at City Hall.
