A powerful blast of Arctic air is forecasted to move into the region by Sunday evening. If you thought this recent round of freezing temperatures was rough, just wait until next week. We're going to see some numbers that we haven't seen in four years. By Sunday night, lows will dip into the lower 20s with wind chills in the mid to low teens. Winds are expected to be rather strong on the back side of the cold front. Highs for Monday climb near 40°. By Monday night, lows could fall into the upper teens. The record low for Tuesday morning, January 7th, is currently 20°. The record was set back in 1970. It looks like we may break that record. Remember to be safe and smart in this stretch of cold weather. Alway remember the 4P's - protect pets, plants, pipes, and people.
