Baker, La (NBC33) — The Baker Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and their Special Response Team served a search warrant at a local business in the 1400 block of Main Street.
After entering the business, officers apprehended Warren Montgomery and read him is Miranda rights.
Montgomery initially denied knowing about any drug activity, but later told detectives that there were several bags of marijuana stashed behind the counter. He also stated that he had a blunt in his pants pocket.
Police searched the business as well as Montgomery’s person and found the items he admitted to having.
After turning over Montgomery’s belongings to his mother, deputies escorted Montgomery to headquarters.
He was later transported and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute (Marijuana).
