BATON ROUGE, LA — The Baton Rouge Police Department have arrested a man fafter he beat a convenience store clerk after a failled armed robbery attempt.
According to authorities, Ike went into the Circle K on Government Street at 10:00 p.m. on November 4 and demanded the clerk to give him money. when the clerk told Ike that there was no money, Ike began to hit the clerk with a stick and his keys, which caused bleeding and injuries.
When officers arrived, they found Ike covered in blood.
Furthermore, a witness to the incident said that Ike threatened to hurt them if they called the authorities.
He was charged with Aggravated Battery, Attempted Armed Robbery, Witness Intimidation and Obstruction of Justice.
