BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Woman's Hospital and Red Stick Farmers' Market teamed up for their first "Harvest Farmers' Market".
The market took place at Woman's Hospital at the intersection of Woman's Way and Rue de la Vie in Baton Rouge.
Kids got their faces painted and got involved with other fun activities, while parents watched cooking demos.
The market supports the hospital's health initiative as well as the local economy.
"We try to do as many fresh fruits and vegetables as we can into our kid's diet, and especially in our diets also. So, this is a great place to come and support our local community and get those fresh fruits and vegetables," stated shopper Kyle Spooner.
Another holiday market is planned for December.
