BATON ROUGE, LA — The AHA and Our Lady Of the Lake will distribute fruit and vegetables to passerbyers during morning drive time on November 6.
The American Heart Association, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and Tiger 100.7 are working together to raise awareness for the importance of good nutrition and making the best eating decisions to reduce a person’s risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
The event will start today at 7:00 a.m. at the Walgreens located at 5112 Essen Ln.
The National Eating Healthy Day the American Heart Association and Our Lady of the Lake will perform random acts of nutrition by distributing fruits and vegetables to passerbyers.
Heart disease a¬ffects everyone. Beating the No. 1 killer of Americans doesn’t take radical fad diets orcrazy exercise trends. You can take small steps each day to change how you eat in order to live a long, heart-healthy life.
