BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Two BREC employees were fired after stealing public money.
Management discovered that the cash had bee taken on two separate instances in 2012.
They allegedly took about eight-thousand dollars.
The theft came out during an audit of BREC's financial statements.
The agency says it's going to do a better job of training its workers about how to record and handle cash.
