TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA — Detectives arrested five subjects in connection with 4-wheeler thefts that have occurred over around Tangipahoa Parish for the past few months.
On October 25 at around 1:00 a.m., Deputy Ethan Dunn was traveling on Sisters Road when he encountered a 4-wheeler traveling at a high rate of speed without headlight. The operator of the 4-wheeler quickly swerved into a near by ditch, abandoned the ATV, and fled on foot from deputy. All units were notified of the incident.
Within several minutes, authorities had a suspect vehicle with five occupants stopped on Chapman Road. As a result of the investigation, the five subjects were arrested and are also believed to be the possible suspects in connection to multiple 4-wheeler and go-cart thefts.
Jamarcus D. Grant, 18 of Hammond, Ricky L. Pope, 18 Hammond, Chance L. Brumfield, 18 of Kentwood, Delzavia Henry, 19 of Hammond and Shinidra Vallaire, 31 of Hammond, were all arrested and charged with Felony Theft.
This investigation is on-going. Additional charges and possible arrests expected to be forthcoming.
