BATON ROUGE, LA — Baton Rouge restaurant Mason’s Grill, came in first place in Thrillist’s Search for America’s Best Bloody Mary.
The contest, sponsored by Absolut Vodka, took place during the New York City Wine and Food Festival this past weekend. Mason’s took home the top prize after beating out over 500 other restaurants and bars.
They then competed against the top 8 finalists from across the country. After being judged by the attendees of the festival and the cast of Food Network show 'Chopped', the “Bloody Mason” was named the Absolut Best Bloody in America.
"We couldn't be more excited about the outcome," says Mason's Grill owner, Shirlee Alfandre, "we've always known Baton Rouge is the best place to eat and drink!" Along with their win, Mason’s Grill will be featured at South Beach Wine and Food Festival in Miami, Florida.
