LAFAYETTE, LA (NBC33) — A 21-year-old man turned himself in for shooting at a home occupied by 7 people ranging in age from 6 months to 50 years old.
The Lafayette Police Department reports that John M. Nicholas turned himself in to police on Monday, Oct. 14. He’s charged with seven counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder and was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
The shooting happened on Saturday, Oct. 12 at roughly 8:00 p.m. Police responded to a home on Sterling Street and learned that Nicholas shot at the home after being involved in a fight with his girlfriend.
No one was injured.
