BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A Texas man was arrested in Baton Rouge after he allegedly hit the bouncer stationed at a downtown bar.
The incident happened on Sunday, Oct. 13 at Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. Officers were called to the scene after a disturbance erupted at the bar.
The suspect, Abraham Perez, 21, fled the scene prior to police arrival. However, they caught up with him a short time later and identified him as the suspect responsible for starting a fight in the bar and hitting a bouncer.
Perez was arrested and charged with Simple Battery and Resisting an Officer. However, while in custody, he allegedly kicked the door of the police cruiser more than once. He was then issued an additional charge of Criminal Damage to Property (simple).
Perez was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He was released after posting a bond of $5,000.
