BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A 22-year-old man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly raped a female acquaintance. When deputies arrived at the home, he was allegedly hiding under the victim’s bed.
The victim contacted law enforcement at roughly 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. When deputies arrived at her home, she told them that the man who raped her was still in her home.
According to the arrest report, the victim admitted to the deputy that she smoked marijuana and drank alcohol with her accused attacker, Christopher Blunt, prior to the incident. She explained that she invited Blunt to her home earlier in the day because he offered to change the oil in her vehicle.
Later that evening, however, Blunt allegedly pulled her into the bedroom, choked her, threatened to kill her, then forcibly removed her clothing. She told deputies that she resisted, but he would not stop. However, he did show remorse.
“During the assault, the victim stated that the accused suddenly stopped and he started crying,” the reported noted. “He then apologized to her and went outside to smoke, at which time she used her cell phone to contact help. She then exited the residence and waited for the responding deputies.”
The deputy noted that the victim had several bruises on her arms, inner thighs and neck.
Blunt was arrested and charged with Forcible Rape. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $20,000.
