IBERIA PARISH, LA — Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office have recovered an estimated $40,000 in stolen items. The items recovered varied from electronics to stolen motorcycles, and even included a farm tractor.
The investigation on began once detectives located stolen items at a residence on the 7000 block of Jackie Street in New Iberia. They found stolen utility trailers, power tools and several stolen laptop computers. The search on Jackie Street then led detectives to the 400 block of Bayard Street.
More stolen items, including two motorcycles, a handgun and illegal narcotics were found.
The individuals arrested for their involvement in the investigation are as follows:
Ashley duhon, 26, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Joshua B. Boudreaux, 23, was cahrged with Failure to Appear.
Rusty Derouen, 21, was charged with Violation of Protective Order, Resisting an Officer
Detectives also had warrants for a fourth suspect who was located at a residence on the 2000 block of Migues Road in New Iberia. Scotty Latiolais, 42, was charged with Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Stolen Property over $500, Parole Violation, Possession With Intent Schedule II, Felon Carrying Illegal Weapons, Possession of Firearm with CDS, Subsequent Second Offender, and Creation/Operation of Clandestine Lab.
The property that detectives recovered was from several parishes, including Iberia Parish. Detectives advise the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected to follow.
