BATON ROUGE, LA — Gas prices in Baton Rouge continue to fall, and at some stations, prices are below $3.
Average prices in Baton Rouge have fallen 3.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.15 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. However, there are multiple stations that have regular unleaded gas at $2.99 or less.
The drop in prices is consistent with the national average that has fallen 2.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.37 per gallon.
Including the change in gas prices in Baton Rouge during the past week, prices are 37.6 cents per gallon less than the same day one year ago and are 21.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
“While the direction of current prices reflect what we can expect for Q4 fuel prices, it’s certainly encouraging to see how many states already have stations with regular gas available for under $3,” said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst, GasBuddy.
Louisiana is one of 18 states that are experiencing gas prices below $3.
