LAKE CHARLES, LA (NBC33) — A man pulling a car carrier behind his truck crashed, ejecting three cars onto I-10.
The Lake Charles Police Department was sent to I-10 westbound at mile post 33 to investigate a crash at 9:01 a.m.
Authorities learned that a Ford F-350 being driven by Albert Jenkins, of Cottonport, was traveling westbound on I-10 and lost control in a curve.
Jenkins’ vehicle was pulling a car carrier trailer holding a 2011 Kia Optima, a 2014 Mercedes E350 and a 2013 Mercedes ML350.
The truck crashed into the median to the North and all three vehicles were ejected from the trailer.
No one was injured in the crash, and the roadway was opened at 10:30 a.m.
Alcohol is not believed to be involved in this accident, but the driver did receive violations for both speeding and inattentiveness.
