LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: Caitlin returned home on Wednesday, Oct. 9. We're told she is unharmed.
ORIGINAL: A Livingston Parish family is desperately trying to find a missing 15-year-old girl. We’re told Caitlin DuBois left home without anything on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
Caitlin’s family tells NBC33 News she has a history of running away. And, that’s why a Livingston Parish judged ordered her to wear an ankle bracelet with GPS monitoring. However, that bracelet only works when it’s charged. Her family fears the worst since she typically comes home after running off.
Caitlin’s mother says she’s most likely in the Denham Springs-area, but she could be in the Baton Rouge-area also.
We’re told Caitlin has been talking to adult men online, and her family worries she may have been lured into a dangerous situation. Recently, she was ordered by a judge to refrain from social media access, but her family says she found a way around the ruling.
Right now, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for the 15-year-old girl. She’s described as 5'6" tall, 100 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
