BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge teen learned a lesson about tough love from behind bars at parish prison.
Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a domestic disturbance on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at roughly 11:00 p.m. When they arrived, they learned that the 17-year-old girl had physically abused her mother.
“The victim stated that she and the accused were involved in a verbal argument that became violent,” the arrest report explained. “She went on to state that the accused hit her multiple times, including slapping her in the face, and striking her arm with her fist.”
The deputy noted that the woman had multiple marks on her body. They included red swelling marks on her arm and face.
“When asked about the incident, the accused stated that she wanted to leave the residence, but [her mother] would not let her go. She became angry about this and stated that she ‘accidently’ struck [her mother] in the face.”
Henderson was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery (misdemeanor). She was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. She was released on Friday, Oct. 4 on a bond of $3,500.
