PLAQUEMINE, La (WVLA) The Saints' Super Bowl win inspired fans from all over to celebrate the victory.
And many chose to put their joy into music.
Singer/songwriter Chuck Simms wrote a song the day of the big win.
He says, he got the idea for a song halfway through the first quarter.
And by the end of the game, he had his son Percy humming out a melody over the phone.
The father-son duo called the "Simms Sons" cut a record the next day.
The title of the song is "The Saints Ain't the Aint's Anymore."
"They finally win the Super Bowl," said Chuck Simms. I said hey, that sounds like a good idea. I can kick it off with who dat who dat who dat."
While it didn't get much radio play last year, the Simms are hoping it can become an annual favorite.
