HAMMOND, LA (NBC33) — A 30-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly beating up an elderly woman and another adult female. During the attack she allegedly struck a 6-year-old child when he tried to intervene.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred on Sunday, Sept. 29 at a home in Hammond. When deputies arrived, they learned that the suspect, Tori True of Robert, had instigated the attack.
The victim’s claim that True attacked and choked the adult female and then hit an 84-year-old woman. The child was struck in the face when he tried to “defuse the situation.”
Officials did not provide any information regarding what caused the woman to become enraged. They said it started over a “domestic matter.”
True was arrested and charged with Battery (3 counts) and Cruelty to a Juvenile. She was booked into the parish prison.
