BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge man with three prior charges for domestic abuse was arrested again after an incident involving his current girlfriend.
The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the call on Wednesday, Sept. 25 shortly before 9:00 p.m.
The female victim told the officer that her boyfriend, Sean Allen Dancer, 33, had left the house earlier that day and returned that evening after she had gone to bed for the night. She said he did not have a key to the home, but he got inside via a window.
“The victim stated that [Dancer] woke her up and that after she noticed that he was intoxicated, asked him to leave the residence,” the arrest report noted. “The victim stated that [Dancer] began to hit her and dragged her by her hair through the residence. The victim stated that [Dancer] then kicked her in the ribs, grabbed her phone, and fled the residence via the back door.”
The officer located Dancer in the area behind the home with the victim’s phone in his hand. At that point Dancer allegedly refused to cooperate with the officer.
Dancer told the officer that the victim was the one who initiated the attack, and he was simply defending himself.
Dancer was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery, Theft, and Resisting an Officer. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $3,500.
